Here are some "after" photos of the 2011 craftsman remodel. Click on any photo to see it larger.

Here is a view from the living room across the dining room to the kitchen. The duplicated arches are an important architectural feature.

This is a view of the kitchen from the dining room pass-through.
The kitchen island viewed from the north end.
The kitchen and great room from the doorway.
Staircase to the backdoor.
Custom oak handrail at the back stair.
Island and custom craftsman style quarter-sawn oak cabinets on the left.

Craftsman Remodel, 2011

It has been a few months since we finished the remodel of a 1920's Craftsman home in Parkhill. We want to share some photos with you so you can see the process, and the finished product!

This home includes a lot of layout changes, including a new stairway to the back door, and switched locations of the kitchen and bedrooms. We changed the full bathroom on the main floor to the dedicated Master Bath, added a powder room, and created a "great room" for the kitchen space.

Here are several "before pictures".

This was the only bathroom on the main level. Now it's in the Master Suite.

Another view of the old bathroom.
This is the former kitchen, now the master bedroom.
The other half of the old kitchen had the doorway down to the back door. This stairway now turns at the landing, and comes up into the great room and kitchen.

This is the old hallway. The space became part of the new kitchen/great room in the space  on the left. What you see in this picture is a hall closet, and two bedrooms. The door to the right of the kitchen table is the bathroom, now part of the new master suite.

After pictures will be up soon!
Cheers,
Paul

Full Kitchen Remodel, Ceiling Lift

REMINDER: click on any image to enlarge it! We've got some great pictures we don't want you to miss.

This is a great kitchen we worked on in 2008. A very fun and unique project. The original ceiling was a standard 8' variety, so the designer, Amy Fitch, called for us to knock it out and rebuild it two feet above the original. It created a much more open space, and we were very pleased with the outcome - smiles all around! Great vision Amy!

Here's another shot with the finished ceiling in the background. Foreground shows custom designed vent hood over a commercially available stainless steel vent unit, cook top and oven units, tile backsplash with rabit plates inset, manufactured stone tops.

Victorian House, Staircase Remodel

Here are some great before and after pictures taken of a front staircase remodel in an 1890s Victorian Home.

This unique curve at the top took a lot of soaking, bending and shaping. A lot of tricky detail work that turned out beautifully.

Reminder: you can click on the pictures to see a full sized image!
